Фестиваль «Гуляй-город» посвящен одной из исторических стратегических битв Руси, а именно - Битве при Молодях. Она произошла между 29 июля и 2 августа 1572 года. В этой битве сошлись войска России и армия крымского хана Девлета I Гирея, которая по численности превосходила русских. Однако, те несмотря на это получили серьезные потери и были вынуждены отступить.

В результате победы Московскому государству удалось прекратить набеги на свою территорию на протяжении 20 лет. Из-за своего геополитического значения Молодинская битва не уступает «Ледовому побоищу», Полтавской и Куликовской битвам, а также другим важнейшим сражениям.

На фестивале «Гуляй-город» гостям предстоит перенос во времена Руси XVI века. Реконструкция битвы, костюмированные перформансы, ярмарки и народные забавы помогут точно и ярко воссоздать атмосферу того периода. Особенно крупным событием фестиваля будет кулачный стеношный бой, в котором соберутся 500 человек на 500.

Активные любители отдыха получат возможность принять участие в спортивных играх, перетягивании каната, а также мастер-классах по Бузе и Киле на фестивале «Гуляй-город». Этот фестиваль располагается на территории более 30 Га и состоит из 11 зон: Входной зоны, Парковки, Города ремесел, Поля «Реконструкция битвы при Молодях», Поля «Русские спортивные забавы XVI века», Игротеки и детских аттракционов, Ресторанного дворика, Торговых рядов и ярмарки, Лектория, Сцены и Арт-объекта.

Под звуки современных фолк-исполнителей и известных групп на главной сцене фестиваля «Гуляй-город» пройдет большой концерт. Финалом мероприятия станет яркий фейерверк.
